June’s Values in Action honoree is Anthony DiSante, Code Inspection and Plan Review’s Operations Manager in the Lehigh Valley. Anthony demonstrated Service, Team, and Ownership when a colleague leaned on him for assistance with both a friend and a long-term client. Even though the first request was not an Isett project, Anthony did not hesitate to walk this friend through the zoning process and answer all of his questions. He gave his undivided attention, and his service was greatly appreciated—so much in fact that this friend promised any opportunity he could send Isett’s way in the future, he would. In addition to this, Anthony took great care of an Isett client who needed information, and an approval expedited. This not only preserved the relationship CMT had with the client, but built one with our Code Department. Anthony went above and beyond on both occasions; his responsiveness and professionalism were top notch and created a confidence and trust among departments.
Anthony’s time at Isett has been challenging and rewarding. He’s enjoyed working with all of our awesome clients and associates. He is currently the Building Code Official, Zoning, and Code Enforcement Officer for Nazareth Borough and Lower Mount Bethel Township. He also manages the rental inspection program for Nazareth. About 75% of his work consists of reviewing zoning applications and handling resident, city council, or township supervisor complaints. He also manages a wonderful team of code inspectors, zoning and property maintenance specialists, and administrative staff. Anthony is truly grateful for the talents of his team. They collectively handle municipal client requests, escalations, and invoicing—collaborating and communicating effectively, which makes the job easy. The Code group is currently working on fee schedules for the 2025 season to ensure work performed is profitable in every municipality. Anthony will continue to hunt and uncover quality clients to partner with. The team recently celebrated the addition of UCC plan review and inspection services to Heidelberg Township. In addition to building strong relationships, Anthony enjoys education and mentorship. He recently completed Leadership Lehigh Valley at Northampton Community College. This opportunity opened his eyes to different leadership styles and helped develop his own skills to be more effective in his role. He learned to challenge the process as well as the importance of service work in the community.
The best job title Anthony holds is father to his two kids. Isett allows him the opportunity to support them and be present in their lives. He volunteers monthly at his church and will start coaching basketball and Nerf wars at the YMCA this fall. He is also an active member in the recovery community. He enjoys sharing his story of experience, strength, and hope to help others who are struggling. In his free time, Anthony loves going to the shore, mountain biking, golfing, or hitting the gym.
